My IQ is just fine tyvm. It's just a game. On anything that matters I make sure everything is spelled correctly. I use spell checker in word docs that need it. I do NOT need to worry about spelling on a game where I could care less about some idiot spelling nazi. If you are that worried about how people spell in a GAME then you need help.

We fought hard for our independence from the Brits, thank you very much. Let us have our spelling, and I'll TRY to put up with YOURS.
Anywho, if something like a spellchecker is implemented, it would be best if it's set in the Server you're in. For example, if you're in the American servers, the spellchecker would take on the American English spelling. But if you're in the European servers, you would see the European spelling on the spellchecker.

What if we don't have servers? That's racial discrimination right there. :P

Typical debate. If you can't attack the argument with logic, attack the person.
Racial discrimination, and "you're the one with the problem" - real classy.

Agreed. Sadly, I think it's already starting. We'll be living in a society where politicians speak of lol cats or whatever vile flavor of the month piss that 4chan spews out.

It all boils down to personal preference. I hate abbreviations and short-hand because writing is 90% of my career, and as such, I try to avoid them as much as possible; sorry if my chosen vocation puts me on a pedestal.

Anywho, to answer your question.
And, Antidisestablishmentarianism is not the longest word. It actually pales compared to this one (the first word has only 28 letters; the second has 189,819 letters).

Proper grammar is always good. I don't see how a spell check would work though. I like using "lol" and a few others now and then (ok, so I lol a lot I guess, but usually when something actually does make me laugh. And laughing is good for you. ), but some just use that stuff to excess. And there are times I wonder what on earth that person is trying to say...lol

firstly to yell at people when they ping crap builds
secondly
when maybe becomes mb
when elite becomes leet
when congratulations becomes gz
said armed paperclip can bitch slap the perpetrator back to secondary school to learn how to form a coherent sentence

Spell check for GW? omg.... hell no... if people can't spell why give them grief over it.... most kids are on here who are too lazy to learn to spell let alone do it correct....
Next you'll want a pre-req of an english qualification to play - hey add maths too for storing gold, and some ecomomics qualification for trading....
No way this needs a spell check...

Typing like that is the same as calling yourself a noob. Can you imagine someone who is truly talented at something typing like that?
Ontopic: I do not think a Spell Check would be very good in Guild Wars. About 30% of the people playing the game do not speak English well anyways. And I cannot imagine anyone really taking the time to spell check something they will spam in trade anyways, onless maybe they spell checked item names {especially faction greens/boss names}.

I agree with this for the most part. However, I believe there aren't districts for some languages which is also part of that problem.
